So here are the 2022 Recruits Who Will Enroll in the Fall

I should have posted the two posts together but was replying to two separate posts without thinking.

So...here's the Class of 2022, with some notes that I've gathered over time. Sometimes, it's challenging to get a lot of information so just because I don't have a lot on a player doesn't mean anything. After all, the VT coaches liked them enough to offer so that's good enough for me.

Payton List, P/1B - Beaver High School in PA. Beaver won the state title in 2021. Payton was 20-0 with an ERA of 0.64 and struck out 233 batters in 120 innings. She also hit .409 with five home runs and 23 RBIs.

Lyndsey Grein, P - Lincoln Way High in the Chicago area. Choose VT over UCLA and Ohio State; All-Area Team, with a 26-3 record with 292 Ks in 211 innings, 0.76 ERA and batted .420 with 32 runs, 14 doubles, 11 HRs , 35 RBIs.

Teagan Thrunk, SS, voted the #1 prospect in New Jersey by MaxPreps and in the Top 60 nationally by Extra Innings Softball. Her coach calls her "an elite defensive shortstop," who makes “imaginative plays that simply ‘wow’ the fans in the stands.I haven’t seen a quicker release in the country; Teagan is going to be an immediate impact player for the Hokies.”

Emma Jackson, OF, Williamsburg Starz Gold, Simply a pure athlete. She is the Eastern Shore District player of the year in Volleyball, basketball, softball, and is the defending state in the 100 meters. While playing with the Starz, she hit 29 home runs with 85 RBIs and a .513 average.

Trinity Martin, OF, Halifax County and Williamsburg Stars Gold, All Region selection. With the Starz, she had a batting average of .429 with four home runs and 25 RBIs. She also stole 6 bases.

Kylie Aldridge, C, Gray's Creek and another Williamsburg Strarz player. Another multi-sport athlete who was the Fayetteville female player of the year after stellar years in both volleyball and softball. She is Cumberland County’s all-time leader in career kills with 1,229, She was also named an Extra Innings High School All-American. At VT, she'll be reunited with Emma Lemley who she caught when they were Starz teammates.

Megan Furr, OF, Westfield High in Centerfield, VA, where she was named All-Region. She played travel ball with the VA Xplosion, where she had 10 doubles, 10 home runs, and 32 RBIs to go along with a .525 batting average..

Bottom line, Coach Pete and gang keep Poppin' It.
